Energy Fabrication is a recently created wholly owned Murray & Roberts company, located in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, South Africa. Committed to delivering world class fulfilment, Energy Fabrication has been established to initially provide the Group with a plate fabrication capability for ducting and bunkers, required to meet the needs of major power generation projects in support of Eskom’s expansion programme.

The company’s immediate focus is to establish two facilities for the boiler ducting and bunker plate work contracts of the new Eskom Medupi (Lephalale) and Kusile (Witbank) thermal power station projects. 

These fabrication contracts are scheduled for completion in 2013. When Medupi and Kusile are complete they will be the largest and most modern thermal power stations in the world.

Energy Fabrication is positioned to provide sustainable fabrication services for future thermal and nuclear power projects in support of Eskom’s 2025 power generation strategy and as a potential exporter in terms of government’s Competitive Supplier Development Program (CSDP).

Energy Fabrication is part of the Murray & Roberts fabrication cluster under the executive leadership of Gary Wells (Chairman) and Simon Mordecai-Jones (Managing Director).
